endoderm)
· Body Plan: Bilateral
· Body Cavity: Pseudocoelomate (a body cavity that is not the product of gastrulation and is not lined with a well-defined mesodermal membrane)
· Segmentation: Unsegmented
· Excretory System: Has an anus and a series of excretory tubes that end in an excretory pore
· Nervous System: Simple with several ganglia in the head region (but not brain) and nerves extend from ganglia to control movement
· Complete alimentary canal (separate mouth and anus)
· Parasitism (internal fertilization)
· Body is covered with smooth cuticle (provides protection, reduces H2O loss, withstand hydrostatic pressure of psuedocoelom)
